Tutorial Simple 360 Nand Flasher 1.2 disponibile

Il nostro capitano ci informa di aver pubblicato un nuovo tutorial all'uso dell'ultimo tool di Swizzy: Simple 360 Nand Flasher 1.2
Il programma ci permette di effettuare il dump e la scrittura della nand xbox, compatibile anche con le Corona 4Gb.
Non mi resta che augurarvi buona lettura:

forse sono inopportuno, ma serviva un tutorial? mi pare che le cose scritte a video e il readme fossero più che sufficienti ed anche idiotproof...

Kairos, il tutorial serve per rispondere alle due domande piu' gettonate del forum:

- Non ho il backup della nand e bla bla bla bla

- Come aggiornare freeboot su corona 4GB

Concordo con il discorso degli idiotproof, ma ci sono anche loro............

Nothing is idiotproof, idiots will find a way to NOT understand how it works despite many many guide showing you the process, infact ppl asked me how to use the software and asked me things stated in the readme... nobody reads it anymore

io sono cresciuto in un mondo dove i RTFM erano una prassi scontata perché la scena non ammette(va) idioti, e dovevi ingegnarti per tirarti fuori da situazio totalmente estranee, un ReadMe sarebbe stata la manna dal cielo, sicuramente ho imparato a leggere e guardarmi attorno prima di chiedere e nemmeno ho mai saputo cosa fosse la pappa pronta - però ho trovato freeBOOT, sin dalla sua prima incarnazione, la 0.001, molto divertente e stimolante - ad oggi non uso molto le gui, mi basta la cli di xebuild che è facilissima rispetto a freeboot, per es.

Beh le V4 si fanno già... Restano le V3... Anche se non capisco cosa c'entri con il thread in questione.

dumpare la nand v3 e v4 dal suo tool, perchè mi risulta sia compatibile al massimo con le v2

Is there a confirmed compatibility issue? if so, i need hardware to be able to work on it, and i don't have that right now, afaik they should work tho... V4 is just without post trace (just point under cpu) and some missing resistors, it should etheir way work fine with the software running on the machine since you just add those components to dump it...

for v3 i don't know, it's those machines with Samsung eMMC aint it? they should also work, seeing as i just mount "flash" and dump that on machines where that is needed, maybe it's unable to identify them as mmc/nand, if so i need to get in contact with someone that have the hw to run some debug versions for me to get this information along with running tests of final software...

I don't need to have the actual hardware here myself, just need to come into contact with someone that does, and run some tests, if it turns out there are just minor adjustments that needs to be done i can do it without having the hardware, however if there are large adjustments required, i need to get hold of the hardware to figure it out...

I still don't have Corona v2 hardware tho, so i'm still unable to really run v2 tests myself... the stuff i do on v2 right now are based on information i get from my friends, and tests done by them aswell...
