3k3y is currently not compatible with OFW 4.55. We recommend 3k3y users not to update their PS3 to 4.55 at the moment. We are investigating the issue and will keep you posted.

anche perche forse cambia anche l interfaccia del menu e3, poi nell archivio rar c'è pure l'e3 eboot gen che prima non c' era... boh io da nabbo in materia onde evitare di rendere la
ps3 un soprammobile cm detto prima aspetto xd

Cobra 2.0 release imminent - features explained (Including initial support for 4.55):

Cobra Team have been hard at work 24/7 preparing the next firmware release for our users. The incoming Cobra 2.0 is once again a massive update and packed with innovative new features.

After the massive features (PS1, PS2, BD/DVD movies and IRD 9 support) added in the recent Cobra 1.90 update, we're back with yet more cool features in 2.0 which will be released in the coming week:

2.0 will pack these features:

Initial support for OFW 4.55 (Please read further information in news paragraph below)
Auto-generate browser from the MCU, no more need for genps3extra
Dumping of original games using the BD drive is now possible through the Cobra Manager
Added support for XMB enabled Pass-Through mode, meaning user no longer has to use slide switch to swap modes and in addition playback of burned PS1 discs when used in combination with the game.disc_type=ps1 configuration option
Increased AES encryption module performance by over 100%, now there is no lag in playback of IRD generated ISO's
Added support for updating PS3 firmware without needing to switch to PT mode
Eject now possible on 4k systems, without need for user to open console cover
Added support for "eject.delay" option to specify delay in milliseconds before reinsertion of disc after it has been ejected on QSB systems (default value of 1000ms)
Added support for "leds.disable" configuration option to disable specific LED colors


We have been working on a solution for OFW update 4.55, which will fix the added anti ODE measures. The current approach will be more streamlined than solutions currently offered by other teams, however it is not as convenient as using the ODE on pre 4.55 OFW's. Our R&D focus is now concentrating on other possible solutions to bypassing the 4.55 checks. The current working solution for OFW 4.55 will be released in the coming week. We advise users to use this update if they have accidentally updated to 4.55. Others who have not yet updated may want to consider keeping their consoles on 4.53 or lower until a better solution is available to benefit from the user convenience of the ODE on these firmwares.

We can now also confirm that only 4k Super Slim series consoles are affected by the 4.55 update.

Those who have 3k / 2k5 Slim or earlier consoles are safe to update to 4.55

comunque gironzolando su google ho trovato news riguardanti questo famoso update 2.0BETA dell e3 ode pro. praticamente per far girare le iso si devono masterizzare su blu-ray e
per avviarli su ode bisogna mettere un qualunque disco originale( come prima) ma con la differenza che una volta avviato si deve sostituire con quello masterizzato. cioè una
follia perche bisognerebbe avere masterizzatore blu ray e appunto i dischi che costano abbastanza. per ora credo non convenga aggiornare.. confido comunque nel loro lavoro, diamogli tempo e lasciamo perdere sta beta, tanto si sa che è solo un prototipo dell update finale

Rogero si è rimesso all' opera, spiegando il motivo dell attesa (anche se non aveva nessun obbligo) in maniera molto semplice: "Ho una famiglia e due figli! e voglio godermeli, la ps3 come tempo libero!".
Bhè come biasimarlo, sono pienamente d' accordo con lui, inoltre non so se l episodio ha precedenti ma per questo cfw pare stiano collaborando sia lui che Habib altro devoloper dalla nota fama, anche se per chì (come me) ama leggere tra le righe ognuno resta sulle sue..
Che dire, come si legge dal suo post per chi coraggiosamente volesse provare basterà chiedergli il cfw in pm e armato di coraggio e flasher (nel caso brick, indispensabile per recuperare la consolle) potrà contribuire alla fase di testing. Inutile dirlo ma per coscienza lo diciamo: è consigliabile sempre e comunque avere un backup della nand/nor e non cimentarvi se non avete ben chiaro il rischio in cui correte, ConsolOpen, Rogero e il sottoscritto non si assumono nessuna responsabilità di alcun genere per qualsivoglia guasto o brick delle consolle.

rilasciato cfw rogero CEX 4.55 v1.00 senza toolbox, per tutti coloro che hanno fretta di farsi bannare..
come sempre è utile chiedere all amico google per il download.

oggi è stato rilasciato l update ufficiale dell e3 ode pro, cioè il tanto atteso 2.0. ma per quello che ho potuto capire io, grosso modo per le ps3 che non sono superslim cambia poco
a livello di funzionalità mentre per le superslim bisogna masterizzare l iso su blu ray. qualcuno sa qualcosa come funzioni esattamente? l avete provato?

non funziona na mazza con sto update 2.0 i blu ray masterizzati me li vede anche ma sempre errore, mi sembra una presa in giro o funziona tutto in modo semplice o che cavolata hanno inventato forse è meglio il team cobra che almeno se ne stanno zitti e non rilasciano niente

Ciccio intanto basta masterizzare un disco di boot e poi vanno tutti;
Intanto son gli unici che permettono il rip direttamente da Ps3, intanto supportano per PRIMI i giochi in Folder.
Ti pare poco per un ODE dove andava messa la colla a caldo ?

1:The official version of 4K 4.55 solution. A special E3 boot disc to support user's original boot disc and all PS3 games in its HDD.The users can burn the BD E3 boot disc by themself or give the generated ISO file to other guy to burn. (The supported original boot disc is listed in the keys file, this content can be added)
Please note: this function is only useful for 4K 4.55 user, other E3 OS 2.0 user play
game is same as before, no need E3 boot disc .

2: Support folder format PS3 games. User can play game without converting into ISO game on PC .(EBOOT need original or re-signed )

3: Modified EBOOT can be run with E3 ODE PRO after re-signed in folder format game, just copy the eboot to the right directory to run. (E3TEAM will release a specially one-key re-sign software later)

E3TEAM is working hard to update one key installation PKG file feature, due to the delay of fixing 4K 4.55. It will be released in E3 OS 2.1 after testing well.

E3TEAM will provide solutions without the need of external USB drive to play PS3 game, so stay tuned!
